omg wiki

[info]sonoran_mamma is going to be building a wiki for us and is asking all kinds of important questions about the history of The Masque.

Holy Cow... gosh, all of those amazing moments and important people... It's been a LONG time - and with  the Archives and even Playwitch, I'm only a small part of it. Were YOU a part of that? Please share so we can all celebrate those places.

What do you remember about the site? What are your special moments? What do you think about when you think about The Masque and The WIKTT Archives?

Let me know, please.

Well I had no direct participation in the whole ordeal because I wasn't admin-ing it, just heard from Az after the fact and she didn't go into great detail.

Ah ha! Did she talk to you about the WIKTTness of the new spin off site? I know we chatted about the "official"ness of TWA but did you have that with her?

Well, after Az mirrored the old site on her site, that was totally cool and great for the community, but she got so busy with real life and such and no one could help her out with the admin-ing. Also most of the traffic had drifted to Ashwinder because of the lack of promotion/stability/uptime.

We both though that with her giving you the database and you agreeing to host it on TM, it'd be awesome to kinda give a good memorable name that officially endorses the archive and hopefully helps with visibility. Hence, The WIKTT Archives (after Quillusion's very popular story).

Yes, the drift away makes me a crazy person. It seems irreversable.

I think having the name is awesome. I still want to contact all of those authors mentioned to make sure they are on the site.

So I'm running into difficulty with the wiki project. The citation rules are brutal. Trying to find legitimate sources for stuff isn't as easy as it ought to be.
