The War - Day Two
Jan. 9th, 2009 02:49 pmI've taken a few more steps in my new war against DWHS.net. They have yet to respond.
I managed to get online for a couple of minutes last night and found their customer support person in AIM. As soon as I verified that it was, indeed a live employee, I politely introduced myself, explained the problem and asked who I should talk to. The person did not respond again. How rude!
I made a complaint with PayPal, who actually executed the transaction. I don't hold them any ill will - and frankly, even if I did, I'd be screwed since they do my processing for Masque-Exotique. I've been a damned good customer with PayPal for 9 years. *smiles*
Next, I filled out a paper complaint form for the BBB and faxed it over since their online form was toast last night. I think this is a good thing - if only to protect other people. One thing I did love - and really enjoyed reporting to them is that on the DWHS homepage, they have the BBB seal and claim they have an "A" rating. On BBB, though, their standing is a "B+". I have no worries. It'll go down soon. I doubt the BBB likes it when people misrepresent them and will do something about it.
After that, I went to the California Attorney General. Wow, they are SO friendly and helpful. They also have a nifty online form that is very easy to fill out. They don't like people who lie, cheat, and steal. They will investigate. That alone should put the fear of God into this horrible company.
Linked on the CA Attorney General’s website is a nifty agency that I didn't know existed. It's called IC3. IC3 is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the
So after those, I felt productive, but not productive enough. I knew what I really had to do. *smiles* GoDaddy.com After all, bad customer service isn't a business thing, it's not a crime - it's personal. I can do personal. I like personal. I also really like my two newest domains: dwhshosting.com and dwhswebhostingsucks.com. As soon as I can manage it (read: get internet back up at my house) I'll put blogs and guest books up on both of them to share my story as well as inviting other people who have been screwed over them to do the same. I'm sure I'm not the only one they've screwed over. This is the sweetest vengeance. The other stuff may come to nothing. I might really get screwed out of $225. The internet, however, lasts forever and it doesn't take very long to ruin a reputation. I think I'm up for it.
