So, the big, evil, ex-boss is at it again. Today, I have an adminstrative hearing to determine whether or not I still get to keep my unemployment or if I get to have it cut off and have to repay it. 

Yesterday, I received the documents he's presenting to the judge - it looks pretty bad, since entire stories, situations and policies aren't shown in them. I think I can explain around them, but it doesn't look good. 

The stuff was delivered by someone that I thought was a friend - but in reading the documents, I see that he's really never been. He's been covering his own arse for months by shifting blame to me for things - including calling me dishonest. I don't think I can ever forgive him for that. After I got through reading it all, I called and left a messege on his vm - "I've appreciated your friendship over the last several months, however, after going over the papers that you brought over, I'm going to decline continuing that friendship." 

I'm more saddened by my friend than I am by the ex-boss. I knew he was a jerk. I didn't know my friend was, too.

Wow, that sucked more than I ever thought possible. I'm holding off tears as best as possible, but Dane told me to open a bottle of wine. Now. 

My ex-friend told some flat out lies. My ex-boss told some flat out lies. They pulled a bunch of old emails concerning one thing (and the couple day discussion thereof) and made it sound like it was "multiple warnings". Heck, he even said that he never swears at his employees - with the "fat bitch" email RIGHT THERE. 

It was... horrible. I have never, ever looked so bad as I did there. I looked like a lying, cheating, lazy employee who did nothing but evil the entire time I was there, when, in fact, I slaved night and day for them. 

I should have left in February and sued him then.

Of course, the next thing I did was call the State Real Estate Board - since they brought an incident with my handling a checks into evidence, now I have written evidence for the board that his unlicensed assistants handle checks, which is beyond illegal. Also, about me writing contract. Again - illegal. Thanks for the evidence, boys. I hope you enjoy the astronomical fine you'll get.

I'm sorry to hear about that. Sour friendships seem to be in the air a little at the moment. I hope things work out ok for you. They have to spend the rest of their lives being themselves, and I suppose that's actually quite a harsh punishment.

I don't really think he's got anything to worry about. He doesn't think he did anything wrong. To be truthful, he was covering his own ass and trying to stay employed long enough to find something else - I guess I can't blame him for it, but I thought our friendship was more important than scoring points in a job he claims to hate.

We'll see how it goes - I spoke with a lovely lady at the board who was VERY interested in him but was worried about me saying something because of the penalty for me participating in "unlicensed real estate", which carries a nice fine. She wants to take my info to her boss to see if there's a way to go after him but give me immunity.
