Adventures with mamma and Cowboy
Apr. 8th, 2008 07:30 pmLast night was really nice with sonoran_mamma and Cowboy joining out little family for dinner. I got home just in time to change beds before they arrived and we settled in for a chat about everything and nothing. We had tri-tip (those of you with a Costco nearby, it’s Morton’s brand pre-seasoned, pre-marinated, pop in the oven and love), rice pilaf and zucchini with cherry tomatoes, garlic and a touch of parmesan. There were several varieties of ice cream because, somehow, I lost count of how “get a few kinds” turned into 6 pints. *eyeroll*
The gentlemen retired to the basement for basketball and mamma and I chatted about kids, which was so lovely. The blonde trapped Cowboy into discussing bugs, which is both a wonder and an ick for her. I think it was fairly successful as both.
Both of them, with the aid of the blonde, coo’d over the dogs and, feeding them carrots and more petting then even a pair of couch potato greyhounds could handle and I’m fairly sure mamma had a cheeky young man named Draco join her in bed. Hopefully he didn’t shed all over her stuff!
It was an early night for all of us (a bottle of Archery Summit, Arcus Estates might have had something to do with that). The blonde, who would spend her life in the basement if we allowed it, suddenly thought it was “uncomfortable” so spent the night with Dane and I which was amusing until 2:20 am when the dogs had to potty and I had to clamber over her to get out of bed.
Early was so early, but Cowboy did get to see me in my bathrobe (tres chic, tres sexay) and no matter what mamma says, she’s really gorgeous with damp hair. She’s really gorgeous with dry hair, too, but, yanno.
